Uh...The United Nations.....a dysfunctional failure....

Let's see...the mission of the United Nations....to resolve issues between countries through diplomacy before countries resort to military force...uh, they consistently failed at this goal. Since the 1950s, more wars have started than have stopped. By the end of 1995, wars had been running in Afghanistan for 17 years, Angola, 30; Liberia, 6; Somalia, 7; Sri Lanka, 11; Sudan 12. The number of refugees from armed conflicts worldwide has increased from 2.4 million in 1974 to over 30 million today. Women and children make up 80 percent.
Here is the Preamble to the United Nations Charter:
* To save succeeding generations from the scourge of war, which twice in our lifetime has brought untold sorrow to mankind, and

*To reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of a human person, in the equal rights of men and women and of nations large and small, and

*To establish conditions under which justice and respect for the obligations arising from treaties and other sources of International Law can be maintained, and

*To promote special progress and better standards of life in larger freedom,

The U.N. has failed these missions with few exceptions...read the second mission statement. Yes, the U.N. affirms human rights but, abuse of human rights are as prevalent as ever.
The U.N. has never even come close to abolishing war and it passes meaningless resolutions against Israel, China, Russia, most of Africa and the U.S. with political agendas attached.
The U.N. is broken and the only way it can be fixed...is to abolish it, stop spending money on it..."Who Woulda Thought" that the number of countries that are actively killing segments of their own population far outnumber what we would call 'civilized' nations and the U.N. is not doing anything...they are broken. "Who Woulda Thought"......

"Wow", The Outrage.

It was inappropriate alright, the outburst from Congressman Joe Wilson during President Obama's speech to Congress but wow, the outrage, the outcry and media coverage over these remarks. From all reports, Congressman Wilson has apologized and yet they seem to want more and yeh, they even have made a race issue out it. Umm, "Who Woulda Thought" calling a man a liar made him a racist. Ok, ok...where was the outcry when Congressman Charlie Rangel cheated on his taxes and is still under investigation for misusing rent controlled properties or how about the outcry when Nancy Pelosi accused the CIA of lying about briefing her on harsh interrogation tactics? Not much said on the floor..uh, maybe nothing said. How about Congressman John Murtha and Peter Viscloskys link to the lobbying firm PMA that has been raided twice by the FBI and maybe you remember all those appointees by the President who also forgot to pay there taxes.
I think Congressman Wilson is being used to distract us all from the real issues like uh, Health Reform...wow, almost forgot about it....

Last weeks blog made someone mad and I was ask to take her off my mailing list and I did...here's the deal, she reminded me that I should be praying for our leadership because, the bible has instructed us to. I agree. I began to pray for our presidents and all of our nations leadership back in the early 90 after having a "Demacus Road" experience with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and I continue to when I'm in my "Prayer Closet" however, what I said about our former presidents are true and 911 should have never happened and again thank you President George W. Bush for keeping us safe this last 8 years. I don't apologize for my blog.....have a good week.

911 Should Have Never Happenend...

Our security was lax, wimpy presidents had let us all down while tending to there own agenda and right under our noses, the terrorist trained. When those "maggots" killed all those Marines in Beirut, we limped home. President Reagan, "still my all time favorite" took some bad advise from an aid, he brought the Marines home. We should have took a stand there, we did not.
When we kicked the Iraqi Army out of Kuwait, "I was there", we should have went on in to Bagdad and took out Saddam right then.
When they took out the Kohbar Tower and killed those American Servicemen in Saudi Arabia, we should hunted and killed those terrorist....numerious attacks on American interest around the world, the USS Cole...remember that  ?
We stood by passively and they just kept on coming, slowly moving toward a huge landmark on US shores...what a bunch of "wimps" they must have been muttering in their own language.
What a sad day it was as I watched the Twin Towers come down before my eyes on live television, "Who Woulda Thought" anything like that could have ever happenend on US property but, this time we did not just stand by and scratch our butts. The whole country came together. Churches began to fill up with "Prayer Warriors", a world wide alert went out, an out going Mayor took the bull by the horns in New York City and our President set out on a relentless hunt to find these "maggots". Hundreds have been captured or killed, "Wanted, Dead or Alive" was the word of the day.
Since that day, the old dictator in Iraq has been hung and I understand stabbed by enraged Iraqi citizens who lost loved ones under his regime. Kadafi yelled "Calf Rope" and gave up his WMD because, he figured he was next on the list and cooperated with a dismantling.
Now eight years later, we have not had one attack and as I speak, our new President is demoralizing our Security People around the world and too me, that's like biting the hand that protects us.
Well, you can say what you want about President George W. Bush and "nearly all of you did say something negative about him" but, he stayed the course, didn't worry about polls and kept us safe. Thank you sir....

An African American President

"Who Woulda Thought", people in my age group would see an African American elected President Of The Untited States. I still mistakenly thought that it was probably a generation away yet. However, what a glorious and emotional day for America when President Obama took the oath of office. I was brought to tears because, at 62, I was able to witness this turn around in attitude in the American People. Unfortunately, I wasn't able vote for President Obama because, it wouldn't have come from the heart. His leanings to the left are at the very least very scary too me. So, no matter how grand it was to see the attitude change in our great nation, I couldn't vote for him.

I believe that President Obama is most far leaning leftist we ever experienced ever in american politics, even more than Hillary Clinton. Already our national budget has skyrocked beyond our wildest comprehension of the numbers that are being spoken. "Who Woulda Thought" that we as a nation would be a trillion dollars in debt to other nations that don't have our best interest in mind. I'm not sure that these debts can ever be paid in my grand childrens lifetime much less my own. What is he thinking? Is he naive? Is he really so young that he's influenced by the far left thinking liberals and he can't reason on his own that's this a disaster in the making?
